Sunday's Bulletin

THIS WEEK'S VERSE:

Today’s Scripture:  Alleluia. We know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.  Alleluia, I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Alleluia Rom. 6:9; John 14:18

Health needs.....  Health needs for  Glenn Kruse (Father in law of Rev. Steve Morfitt), Ed Lund, Vamsi Gutti,  Verdienne Mekosch, Willard Schroeder, Lorraine Miller, Doug Whiting, Rosie Peters (Mother of Ron Peters), Dorothy Kremmin,  Deb Jans, Millie Steele, Martha Soehren, Joyce Voshage, Christian Wohlfeil, Millie Strom, Roy Lauer (Brother in law of Ruby Wilson), Hazel Soleta, Ray Plumhoff, The Family of Irene Sajban, The Family of John Heern, Our Soldiers & Families.

Today=s KDOM Broadcast . . . is sponsored by the Moratzka Fund in memory of May Moratzka.

Stewardship… "When He rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.  'Why are you sleeping?' He asked them" (Luke 22:45-46). Jesus was exhausted too. After all, He was human. He got hungry and tired, just as His disciples did. We are prone to shake our heads at those lazy, disloyal disciples, but how often do we say we're too tired to serve, too poor to give , too inadequate to help? Like the disciples who were transformed on Pentecost, we have received the Holy Spirit who equips, enables, and energizes us to be God's stewards.

Prayer Before Service.... .Gracious Father, ruling Savior, on the day we celebrate the sending of the Holy Spirit to Your disciples on Pentecost. Send Him to us disciples this day that our hearts may be opened by Your grace in word and sacrament and our voices and lives abound always in praise; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
