Sunday Bulletin

Prayer Before Service . . . As I settle back in the pew this morning, dear Father of wisdom and life, take me from my comfortable life in this world and transform me by the power of the Holy Spirit working through the Living Word into a new creature, a heavenly creature, whose life is now opened to Your mercies and to my Savior Jesus Christ. It is in His name I pray. Amen.

Lutheran Hour…”My Feelings, Meet God’s Word!” Guest Speaker: Rev. Dr. Dale A. Meyer. Emotions often drive our lives. When we think about our feelings in light of the Word of God, we are led to Jesus our Savior, but ignoring God’s Word makes life a soap opera mess. (Mark 6:14-29)Lutheran Hour is broadcast on Sundays on radio stations: WCCO 830 AM at 6:05 am/KDOM 103.1 FM/1580 AM at 10:00 am/KJWR 90.9 FM at 6:00 pm.

Lutherans for Life… “We need to embrace the God Who is found in suffering. He is the man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. He’s the Lord who was impaled on a cross. We’d rather Jesus be mild-mannered and mild-tempered, and we’d rather listen to Him preach about lilies in a field of flowers. We don’t want to go down that hard path of Calvary. But once we do, I think then we can gain compassion. Because compassion means ‘with suffering.’ Christian compassion means suffering with the sufferings of Christ.” Joni EarecksonTada www.lutheransforlife.org
